July hosts the 137th British Open, which returns for the 9th time to the Lancashire Course at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th July 2008.
In recognition of this event, we have decided to play our own special game of “golf” with the winner taking away a fantastic prize.
The Game;
Winners of the full house every half hour between 6pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will each be allotted a “hole” (a number between 1 &18), and also win a bottle of champers and some choccy golf balls!!
Then on Sunday you will have to be in room 2 for the 9pm game, the first to shout “hole in one!”in chat when your “hole”(number) is called is the winner!
The Prize;
A fantastic Red Letter Day for a days golf tuition with a PGA golf pro to work on your game, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro!

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show
Henry VIII built one of the finest gardens in the world at Hampton Court Palace. These days it is home to the world’s largest horticultural show, with displays from over 150 specialist nurseries.
The show features some beautiful, complex works of living art, filled with rare blooms and water features, however, many are on a smaller, more English scale, and can give you ideas for improving your own garden.
The Festival of Roses is Britain’s largest annual display of roses in full bloom; the sweet scent is overwhelming, as is the sight of thousands of stunning roses blooming all under one roof.
During the final afternoon of the show, many of the exhibitors sell off their plants at bargain prices.
In honour of this fantastic display of horticulture, we are giving you the chance to win a bouquet of flowers for every day the show is on (the 8th to the 13th July).
To win a beautiful summer flower arrangement, all you have to do is buy the most cards in room 2 throughout the day. You do not need to do anything else, just sit back, play and you could win yourself a fantastic bunch of flowers!

Do you all remember we did BLISS, the premature baby charity, in May? Well we got a fab letter back from one of the Sisters on the Maternity Unit in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead, here is what it said:

In other charity news, on Monday the 23rd June we all played a charity game for Orchid Cancer Care who support men with cancer.
All in all we raised £228.28 making our grand total £1385 donated to charity this year. Once again thank you all for your great support!
WTG CITYWITY aka Kevin Bloor won our Euro 2008 sweepstake at the weekend pocketing £300 holiday vouchers.
Well who would have thunk it, Spain winning Euro 2008? After 40 years this was their first major win and to be honest they’ve probably got Kevin to thank for it… I bet he was spurring them on to win so he could get a week in the sun.
Does this mean that Kevin’s got to go to Spain? Well I suppose it would be rude not to!

Yeah you read it right! Our very own CMTunaman took part in a CM panel at this year’s Online Bingo Summit in London. Showing that years of chatting can get you fame and adoration from your peers… budding CMs pay attention!
Andy was asked questions on how CMs are paid, trained and motivated to provide you with good chat in the bingo room. And he did us proud! He really is a chat professional. Here is a photo of him on the panel with other “chat professionals”.
So as you all would have seen over the weekend Spain ran to a roring victory against Germany, making it their first win in a major championshiop for 44 years!
I’m guessing that CITYWITY was cheering them on over the weekend because if they won he would also win £300 worth of travel vouchers!!
We sent off the vouchers to Kevin yesterday and hopefully he will let us know where he went with them.
