Carers UK support carers through a network of local groups and membership. They provide nearly 20,000 carers a year with advice and information and campaign to get carers a better deal. They are a UK-wide charity with offices in London, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
They receive no funding currently to support a network of nearly 50 local groups. Local groups provide an invaluable service by providing a listening ear, advice on local support, rural transport and sitting services so a carer can get out for a much needed break.
Join us on Monday 9th August in Room 2 between 7-9pm where we will be donating 50% of the prize pools to this fantastic charity!

Cancer Research UK are our nominated Charity of the Month for the whole of May, and we’ll be donating 50% of the jackpot prize pools from our ever-popular Room 2 on Monday 10th May between 7-9pm.
A bit about this month’s Charity: “Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading charity dedicated to beating cancer through research. Our groundbreaking work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer has saved millions of lives. Survival rates have doubled in the last thirty years and we have been at the heart of that progress. But one in three of us will still get cancer at some point and our vital work, funded entirely by the public, will help ensure that millions more people will survive.”
Fundraising is an essential element to keeping fantastic charities like this alive, so we’re really glad to be able to help and provide support for such a fantastic cause. Join us for this very special monthly event to ensure that our nominated charities get the full support they deserve and the essential funding required to enable them to continue on their paths to success!

Cm Sapphire is a keen supporter of the East Anglian Air Ambulance and so we have chosen to show our support this December during our charity bingo session which will be held this Monday coming.
CM Sapphire and her husband are dedicated fundrasiers for this great cause and every Chrsitmas they decorate their house to raise money. This involves a lot of hard work as they start putting their display together at the end of October .
Last year CM Sapphire and her husband managed to raise a staggering £500 and are hoping to do so again this year. They would like to thank all Crown Bingo players who gave generously last year and also say thanks in advance to those that help again this year!
CM Sapphires’ justgiving page is active for online donations, please visit www.justgiving.com/teresa-eldred - all donations are greatfully recieved.
And come along on Monday 14th December 2009 from 7-9 pm in Room 2 and play bingo to raise money for this most worthy cause - we have 50 badges to give away for your kind support and generosity.

Hi Roomies,
Just a reminder that it’s Charity Night tonight in Room 2 from 7- 9 pm. This month we’re supporting Grace House North East Children’s Hospice Appeal which is raising funds to build, equip and run an eight bed children’s hospice for very sick children across the North East of England.
Grace House Hospice aims to provide a home from home, where children and their families can turn for much needed medical help and emotional support, a service that is very much in demand.
Join us tonight and help us raise funds for this fantastic cause!
So far, we have raised a total of £5,324 for our charities which we couldn’t have done without help.
Thank you!

Help For Heroes was the idea of Appeal Chairman Bryn Parry. Bryn and his wife Emma wanted to do something to help the wounded and came up with the idea of a sponsored bike ride. They mentioned it to some friends who mentioned it to some more friends and suddenly Help For Heroes was born and growing fast.
Help for Heroes makes a real difference to the lives of our wounded service men and women. They have so many fundraising events running that i dont have enough room to tell you all about them, so visit their site for full details.
To help make a difference, come along on Monday 10th August between 7pm and 9pm in Room 2. We will be giving out some special Help for Heroes merchandise, so keep an eye out for it!
