Here’s what we got up to during our action packed day…

So after a long drive to Birmingham followed by an authentic Chinese (they had pigs feet on the menu!) me and Kirsty settled into our hotel room ready for a big day.

The next day, after Vikki panicking that the taxi hadn’t picked Alison up, we all met at the recording studio where Alison greeted us with a massive hug… now that’s a welcome! After getting to know each other Alison was straight off to her recording booth… we’d booked 2 hours Alison did it in 30 minutes! Even with the stumble on Valentines Day, or should that be number 14 Valentimes Day! lol

After that Kirsty showed Alison a little more of the site Alison asked if we wanted to go and have a look around Birmingham city centre, as we had never been there before.

“WDW?? What’s that?”

Well what fun we had! We visited the bull ring.

“Squeeze me in girls!”

Alison got mobbed by all of her adoring fans! This was Robbie, his initial comment was “You know what you look like that woman off the telly”. Alison replied “Well you know what… I am that woman off the telly!”

“Cheese!”

We looked at a few more shops and then Alison suggested that we had a trip to the beach… Well as we were in the middle of the UK with no coast in sight we had to go and check out the artificial beach and get in a cocktail while we were there of course!

After chilling out at the beach it was off to Malmaison for lunch… oh yeah we felt really posh! We all had a lovely meal and got to know more about Alison. Like how her first celeb interview was with George Clooney and she hit him on the head with the microphone!

Other things we talked about was how she got her job on This Morning after being evicted from Big Brother in the second week. That her fave interview was with the gorgeous Will Smith, and that she loves Divine organic chocolate from the fair trade shop she used to work in before Big Brother… we certainly made sure we got her full life story!

By the time we looked at our watches it was 2pm and we were supposed to be at the photo shoot! When we got to the photo shoot Alison was raring to go with loads of great poses and expressions.

When we moved to the laptop shots Alison got to play on Crown Bingo a little more… and she loved it. She even won £100 on a scratch card while playing on the shoot! See the video of this here.

Oh my god! I’ve done it… I’ve won £100!!

After that we couldn’t keep Alison away from the laptop… Just one more game… Oh I’ll buy a few more cards… Alison was well and truly a fan of Crown Bingo!

Back to the photo shoot Alison!

So that was our fantastic day with Alison in Birmingham. We all had a brilliant time! But it doesn’t end there… from now on you guys will be able to see and hear Alison on Crown Bingo. You’ll have the option to pick good old Karl Seth or Alison Hammond. Alison’s not just calling the boring numbers either they’re the bingo lingo rhyming kind.

Oh before I forget… in the voice over session Alison made up one of the calls herself and we’ve included it… can you guess which one it was? You’ll have to get over to the bingo room at Crown Bingo now and listen in.

Well its that time of the year again, and if your a parent i bet breathing a sigh of relief as the kids go Back To School!!! But how many of us wish were were still at school?!

July hosts the 137th British Open, which returns for the 9th time to the Lancashire Course at the Royal Birkdale Golf Club from Thursday 17th to Sunday 20th July 2008.

In recognition of this event, we have decided to play our own special game of “golf” with the winner taking away a fantastic prize.

The Game;
Winners of the full house every half hour between 6pm and 8.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday will each be allotted a  “hole” (a number between 1 &18), and also win a bottle of champers and some choccy golf balls!!

Then on Sunday you will have to be in room 2 for the 9pm game, the first to shout “hole in one!”in chat when your “hole”(number) is called is the winner!

Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Henry VIII built one of the finest gardens in the world at Hampton Court Palace. These days it is home to the world’s largest horticultural show, with displays from over 150 specialist nurseries.

The show features some beautiful, complex works of living art, filled with rare blooms and water features, however, many are on a smaller, more English scale, and can give you ideas for improving your own garden.

The Festival of Roses is Britain’s largest annual display of roses in full bloom; the sweet scent is overwhelming, as is the sight of thousands of stunning roses blooming all under one roof.

During the final afternoon of the show, many of the exhibitors sell off their plants at bargain prices.

In honour of this fantastic display of horticulture, we are giving you the chance to win a bouquet of flowers for every day the show is on (the 8th to the 13th July).
