On Monday 14th June during the Charity of the Month games our fantastic players helped to raised an amazing £195.17 for the Whizz-Kidz charity.

On behalf of all our beneficiaries and everyone here at Whizz-Kidz thank you very much for the wonderful £195.17 raised towards our work. We really appreciate the awareness and funds generated for our cause.

Contributions such as this are hugely important, as is your continued support to the success of Whizz-Kidz in transforming the lives of disabled children. Children like Megan…

Megan is a lively 12-year old girl from Edinburgh who loves drawing, holidaying in Florida, socialising with her friends and collecting toy fairies. Megan has the condition Spina Bifida which means that she has no lower body mobility at all.

Whizz-Kidz provided Megan with a lightweight manual wheelchair that is made of titanium so it is very easy for Megan to manoeuvre and as it’s so light she can propel it herself for much longer without getting tired.

Megan’s mum Debbie comments: “Megan loves her new wheelchair as she has so much more freedom and can keep up with her friends.  She loves going to the local shopping centre with her friends and now she can do this without any assistance which for any 12-year old is really important.”

This support will help Whizz-Kidz take disabled children like Megan from isolation to inclusion, from disability to possibility. This will help us give them back their childhood. On their behalf, thank you so much.
